The Department of Counseling is excited to introduce an additional training for our students related specifically to child sexual abuse. As of the Spring 2017 semester, all students will be required to attend the training “Darkness to Light: Prevent Child Sexual Abuse“. This training will be offered through Pat’s Place Child Advocacy Center.
For Fall 2017, the training is offered on Thursday, November 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Cone University Center Lucas Room.
All participants receive a certificate of completion for attending the training. Individuals who have already completed this training and can provide a certificate of completion, will not be required to attend again. This training will be offered annually. Students are highly encouraged to attend if they are currently registered for a clinical (practicum or internship) in the spring semester and any student planning to complete their clinicals (practicum or internship) during the fall semester.
